She is the 6'2" Russian Maria Sharapova who grew up in the United States together with her father. At the age of four, Maria started playing tennis using the racket given by Yevgeny Kafelnikov's father. It was in 2004, when she rocked the world when she became the third youngest Wimbledon winner at the age of 17. She also captured the number ranking of women's tennis at the same year. Right now, Sharapova is still the number 1 Russian woman tennis player in the world.

However, it is not only in the tennis scene where Maria's star shines. She is also a celebrity endorser for Canon, Tag Hueur, Palmolive, Prince, Land Rover, and Nike. In 2005, Masha was listed by People Magazine as one of the 50 most beautiful celebrities in the world. In the same year, Forbes Magazine listed her as the highest-paid female athlete in the world with an annual earning of $18 million. What's amazing regarding this girl is her level of maturity considering she is only nineteen. I remember when I was reading an article about her, she commented that she does not pay that much attention when it comes to the ranking. What she is more concerned her health because according to her, she can attain that number spot again once she is healthy. And, she knows that she will be playing more years, so she's not on a hurry.
