Many parents dream of having twins. If you are one of these parents and you found out that you're carrying twins, what would you do? Probably, the first thing you can do is to think about what to name your twins. Here are some of the names you can give your twins.
List of popular female names for twins
Among the popular names for twins are Faith and Hope, Ella and Emma, as well as Mary and Elizabeth. These names have excellent meanings. The first two names, for instance, are biblical in origin. Hope and Faith are actually two of the qualities described in the Bible at Corinthians 13:13. Mary and Elizabeth have historical origins. They are names of the daughters of King Henry VIII.
Names and meanings
Faith and Hope are virtues. Faith, of course, means the unwavering belief at something, and Hope means "expectations." Emma is short for Emily but it is also use as a complete name in itself. It means "flatterer" and "industrious." It is actually the female version of Emil. Ella, on the other hand, means "light." It is short for Eleanor and Ellin. Emma and Ella are often used to gether because both starts with the letter "E" and both sounds great together. Meanwhile, Mary and Elizabeth are names of Queens. Mary is Latin in origin and means "star of the sea." Elizabeth is the name of the Virgin Queen of England. The name is a Greek transalation of the Hebrew Elisheva, meaning "my God is an oath."
For your twins, look for names the both sound good and meanings that you can get inspiration from.

I never realized that baby names could be so diverse. The queer thing is, it may take a while to choose the moniker that's perfect for your baby. If you ask me though, there is nothing more insightful than actually looking around and getting inspiration from the everyday things you see. I'm sure you won't name your baby girl "Chair" or "Knife" but there are some creative souls out there who can't help but distort these names a little, take a good look at the calendar, or call their overseas Spanish friends for help.

For example, some of the most popular female infant names are christened after colors: Amber, Hazel, Aubrey (auburn), Violet, Olive, Scarlet, Goldie, Rose, and Esmeralda. These names are pretty easy to remember because their attributes can be seen anywhere. One look at the baby's eyes and you know she deserved to be called "Hazel." Another inspiration for a baby girl's name are birthstones, the months of the year, and wine. Babies can be called June, April, and May, as well as Pearl, Sapphire, and the more general "Jewel".

I have a friend (a new mom) who's a wine connoisseur who has vowed to call her baby girls after her favorite wines: Brandy, Kirsch, Sherry, and Margarita. Would you call your baby Pinot Grigio or Rhum? When stumped, another friend of mine who lives in Texas would ask around a mostly Hispanic neighborhood. She didn't run out of possibilities. They recommend the names Milagros, Soccoro, Carmela, Odessa, Juanita, Evangelina, Francisca, Florita, Herminia, Celina, Gloria, Felisa, Dolores, Barbara, and the ever-popular Maria in case she wanted a Latin sobriquet.

She had been all over the news in recent months anticipating her birth, and distance is no barrier for celebrity hype. The night of May 27, 2006 in Namibia, Africa, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt welcomed their daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. No further information was given and no photographs were released according to publicist Cindy Guagenti. Pitt and Jolie had powerful help protecting their privacy from the government of Namibia, which refused to grant entry to reporters seeking to cover the birth without the actors' written consent. The Namibian government arrested photographers, confiscated film, rounded the couple's hotel with heavy security and set up large green barriers on the beach to shield their family. Jolie visits Africa as thegoodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Media suspicion heightened when Pitt e-mailed the Cannes Film Festival saying he won't be able to attend because of the baby's "imminent arrival." Pitt co-stars with Cate Blanchette in the movie Babel which was screened in Cannes.
Rumors about their romantic relationship began when Pitt and Jolie appeared together in the 2005 movie "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." Jolie had two adopted children: toddler Zahara, from Ethiopia, and 4-year-old Maddox, from Cambodia, and is divorced from Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller. Shiloh Nouvel is Pitt's first child.

I was reading the paper last week and I cam across this article about the popularity of the girl's name Nevaeh. In 2001, it was the 268th most popular name for American girls and since then had started climbing the chart. It's very much popular with African Americans and evangelical Christians, and as a fantasy fiction character.
If you are wondering how did the name Nevaeh came into being, don't expect a long history. It's just an anagram: HEAVEN spelled backwards. For any parent I believe that a child is a gift from heaven. But anagramming is quite an unusual way of coming up with a name for your baby, but it's the creativity that produces the most unique name. I had a friend in high school who was named Leafar. Apparently her father's name was Rafael. I also had an uncle named Leandro who instead naming his son junior, he named him Ordnael.
I made a research about the name and have found that the oldest record of Nevaeh was in 2000, when Sonny Sandoval of the rock group P O D named his daughter Nevaeh. Since then on every Christian parenting bulletin board (and I mean there are a lot of them) you'll find parents suggesting the name Nevaeh. I understand how a parent would fall in love to such a cute name.

If you happen to be just like me who grew up having to put up with three kids having the same name as mine in grade school, naming your baby something unique is a definite mission. I personally plan to christen my baby a name that contains all the letters of the alphabet, but figured that it wouldn't fit on my baby's baptismal certificate so just opted for the first five letters of the alphabet, Abcde (pronounced Ab-si-dee). Okay, so it may not be that creative, and it might even be senseless, but it sure beats having a name which you share with one hundred twenty five thousand something people. If you also don't want your daughter to bear with the agony of having the same boring name with five of her classmates, here are the top ten names you should avoid.
The first name that should be avoided is "Emily". Its origin is Old German or Latin and means industrious or eager. If ever you decide to name your daughter Emily, be warned that she is sharing this name with 125,564 other. The name Madison comes in second, having German or Old English origins and means child of a mighty warrior or child of Maud. Some 104,263 baby girls also has this name. Hannah (which means grace of God in Hebrew) is the third name to avoid, 95,257 other babies has this name. Emma is the 4th placer, garnering 86,201 parents who wanted their child's name to mean universal or all-embracing. Lastly, don't name your kid Ashley, 78,379 newborn baby girls also has this name. Among the top ten names you should also avoid are, Alexis, Samantha, Sarah, Abigail, and Olivia.
Celebrities also have a knack for inimitably naming their broods. Take the Phoenix family for instance. All of the siblings of actor Joaquin Phoenix have an 'all-natural' name like River, Rain, Summer, and Liberty. The Zappa family also have a quite weird choice in christening their offsprings. Frank Zappa's kids are named Dweezil, Moon Unit, Ahmed Emuukha Rodan, and Diva Muffin. Whatever Frank was thinking in naming his baby Diva Muffin, I wouldn't want to know.

Tom Cruise's representative announced last April 19th that the child weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches in length and that both mother and daughter are doing well. Katie Holmes gave birth to her bundle of joy to Cruise in Los Angeles. Holmes had a smooth delivery that she left the hospital within 24 hours.
Tom and Katie named their baby girl Suri, which is of Hebrew origin meaning "princess," or in Persian meaning "red rose." Suri has lots of dark hair and big, blue eyes. This was Katie's first child and the first biological child for Cruise who adopted two children: Isabella, 13, and Connor, 11, with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman.
Cruise, 43, and Holmes, 27, came out to the public about their relationship almost a year ago and announced October of last year that they were expectant parents. The two expressed their plans of getting married very soon. The relationship had been plagued with so many intrigues, starting with Cruise's couch-antics on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Most of the press people suspect that it was just for publicity stunt, that Tom was trying to get the younger generation for dating a much-younger Katie, and in return the former Dawson's Creek star was using the million-dollar actor to advance her career.

Cherry has always been my favorite fruity name, despite the fact that I am indifferent when it comes to the fruit itself. I love pineapples, but, come to think of it, who in the right mind would name their baby Pineapple! If you love the Hawaiian culture - all the alohas, the beaches, the sun, everything, then the name is justified.
Cherry is the name of my lovely wife, who seems to have a smile in every corner of her mouth anytime of the day, anywhere! Such a cheerful and a simply sweet name, not to mention loving and thoughtful (or is it just me 'cause I know her), don't you think? I sure hope you do, for it would break hearts - mine and hers, if you think otherwise, but if you want it that way, then I don't want to know yours!
I would also suggest naming your baby either Cherry plus a second name, or any fruit to your taste. Just remember to add a second name, for substance is usually found in the middle, but not a fruity one, that is. Fruit names tend to have an effect on the human psyche, specifically to those that go around with such names, and I do think that's why my wife remains as cheerful, sweet and simple up to this day!

What's in a name - a rose is a rose is a rose, and by any other name, it's still a beautiful rose now, isn't it? This dilemma often haunts every father who finds himself in the mercy of name-hungry record department attendants each time they have a newborn baby. Yes, they want you to answer as quick as possible, without any hesitations, nor any room for mistakes whatsoever, but I have overcome this problem and offer a most suitable suggestion - a perfect combination.
Combining the names of both parents, no matter how rocky your marriages are, would turn up a perfect name for your baby, or even combining the most unforgettable romantic places you've visited so as to come up with a name that would best suit your baby. I have known this before, having named my first baby girl Danlee Mariel. I got this from Daniel and Maria Annlee, the former being mine and the latter my wife's.
Two weeks ago, I faced the same situation, and I gracefully came up with Carmielle Danica - my second daughter. I got this from the names of my parents - which are Carmina and Danielle. So you should also come up with great names for your babies, not to mention the familial legacy such names leave your kids!

A baby girl has joined our family. Her parents have named my very lovely niece, Dawn. This was because she has joined this world when dawn was just beginning to come out. It seems that my brother and his wife see the coming of their daughter as the beginning of a new day. Dawn literally means the "appearance of the light." Incidentally, the name Dawn is also synonymous to the name Aurora.
Anyway, there are other versions of the name Dawn. You can use Dawnetta, Duwan, Dawnelle, Dawnita, Dawna, Dawne, and a lot more. You can just easily conclude that Dawn is quite a famous name. Can you believe that it actually ranked as the 105th most famous name from a list of 4275 girls' names? That is something, right?
Also, my sister-in-law tells me that girls with the name Dawn are expected to take pride in balance, dependence, community, and responsibilities. Thus, it would not be a surprise if our young Dawn will become a mediator when she grows up. The baby book informs her mother about such a detail. The book also says that Dawn is expected to be an affectionate, bubbly, and thoughtful person.

A heavenly sound name "Angel" for your expected baby girl is a nice choice. AN-je-lah, as it is pronounced, is a Greek name. The name Angel became famous in America and Britain since 18th century. It means a messenger of God, a good person, and an innocent-looking girl.
There are many names that you can create from the "angel" word. Some of them are Angele, Ange, Angelene, Angelique, Angelynn, Angell, Angy, Anjela, and the long list continues. The names of some famous celebrities were derived from the name Angel; like Angelina Jolie, Angela Lansburry, Angela Bassett, Angie Harmon, and Angelis Dickinson.
In U.S., Angela is ranked as the 29th name from the list of 4275 total female names. But, it is unordinary last name since it was ranking as 66029th from 88799 total surnames registered in US Census in 1990. Naming your child as Angel is like giving her a heavenly title on Earth. A baby with an angelic face deserves to have an angelic-sounding name, too. Name your child as Angel, and feel the grace of God in her life.

Every time I think of having a baby girl, I feel so excited. Excited for having a baby and at the same time excited that I will be giving her the best name she will love so much. What about you? Are you planning to have a baby girl? Are you having a hard time thinking of what name you are going to give your baby girl? Well, I have an idea for you. Why not give her a beautiful name Bambi? Actually, Bambi is my favorite name and this is the name I am going to give my first daughter.
Bambi is Italian in origin. It means little child. By giving this name to your baby, it feels like she will always be your beautiful and lovely baby even if she grows old. It became so famous because it is one of the names in the Walt Disney cartoon characters. It has also name variations like Bambilina, Bamby, Bambina, and Bambie.
According to US census in 1990, it is a famous baby name. It is not only common as baby names, but common to all ages. Although it is not famous as a surname, it ranked 1554 out of 4275 names for female in the United States.

Are you having a hard time thinking what is the best name for your soon-to-be baby girl? You can name her Joan, meaning, "the Lord is gracious". Pronounced as "Jone", the name Joan is a started in Hebrew. It is the Medieval feminine version of John.
Joan is a very famous female first name. Based in 1990 U.S. Census, it is ranked as 62th name from 4275 female names in all ages. However, Joan is not a common last name in the U.S, and I think even in some parts of the world. The famous Joan of Arc, the Maid of Orleans, is depicted as a national, political, and religious heroine. The famous people who were named as Joan include celebrities Joan Crawfort, Joan Collins, Joan Baez, Jona Rivers, Joni Mitchell, and marathon runner Joan Benoit.
There are many names you can see in the baby name books. You can either buy the book or look on search engines for more names applicable to your angel. If you like to use Joan, you can modify the name by changing the spelling. The name Joan has other forms namely; Joane, Joanie, Joannue, Jone, Jonee and Joni.

Most expectant mothers are excited to name their soon-to-be-born baby girl. Some parents use famous search engines, while others buy a baby name book just to find the most beautiful name for their baby girl. That is why; it is common to see a pregnant mother holding a long list of female baby names. Most names are based on parents' first names or grand parents' nicknames. There are some mothers who get their baby's name from their favorite star. However, most parents are deriving the name of their beautiful female baby on either dictionary or Bible. They want the meaning of their baby's name to sound something unique or a distinctive one.
In some cases, both parents agree to register their pretty female baby with a combination of their names. Others are deriving names from a male's name or nickname, like Jo. But no matter how they create the name of the child, it is important that both parents know the real meaning of that name. Because name is the identification of the person and it will be carried by the person as long as she lives.

I already have a name for my future baby daughter, it would be Amanda, and you ask why? Amanda is Latin equivalent for " love amore, a precious thing, and worthy of loving."
My friend would want a unique name for her daughter and Amanda just seems right for her. Her daughter would be worthy of all the love that she can give her and her love for her would be unconditional. I think that it would fit her perfectly, being her first-born and all. She could give her a cute nickname like Mandy, even dy-dy or amy. I can't wait for her daughter, I can't wait for Amanda.

They say that the eyes are the window to a person's soul, and I also believe that, the eyes are very expressive and honest. Even when a person doesn't say anything, you can see how that person feels through their eyes. The name Indrakshi means 'one with beautiful eyes.' It is a Hindu word and is a beautiful name to give your baby girl. It gives emphasis on the eyes, the representation of one's emotions. The name Indrakshi can be given to anyone as everyone has their own unique eye features, everyone deserves this name. It's very special, and so is your baby.

Who ever does not know anyone named Mary? Most of us have encountered a lot of Marys in our lives, and the name is so common, whether it is used in conjunction with another name, as a variation, or used alone. Usually, the reason why parents call their baby girls by Mary is because they want to associate their child with the mother of Jesus Christ or they were inspired by the biblical figures with the same name. Mary is also classified as an English name which has the meaning of bitter.

Can't find the right name for our little bundles of joy? Well, here are some tips to find the perfect name. First, you have to consider the baby's last name, would the name that you decide on, fit with the surname of the child? Second, if you feel like passing on your traditional name, pattern your own initials with the baby's name, innovate a little. But, if you decide on giving the baby your same first name or your full name, see to it that she has something to call her own, like a second name, so that she has your name, plus a name for her own. Third, find a nice nickname for the name that you've chosen or deciding on, is it easy to pronounce? Would it identify with your baby? And lastly, make sure that your child would not have difficulties spelling out her name when she grows up, keep it unique yet easy. If you've thought about all these, then you're quite ready to introduce your baby to the world! And prepare those baby scrapbooks for the memories! Good luck with the baby names!
